A meeting planner recently said to me, “Simon, I have seen a ton a speakers over the years. If, and only if, we were to select you, I do not want yesterday’s speech. This corporation and its customers need tomorrow’s thinking!”

It reminded me of a quote that I dug up from the archives: “The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created – created first in the mind, and will be created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating.”
