Event InformationTitle: Module Four: The Communication Lens Date: Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 4:00 pm EST Duration: 00:42:56 Presenter: BMIA Training About: BMIA™ [Business Model of Intercultural Analysis] is the Universal Consensus proprietary assessment, training, and advisory framework. Universal Consensus CEO & Founder, Denise Pirrotti Hummel, J.D., has developed, empirically tested, implemented and honed the BMIA™ over the last two decades. The BMIA™ uses six comprehension lenses to facilitate understanding and core competence. Analyzing a global enterprise through the six comprehension lenses contained in the BMIA™ provides a 360 degree analysis that increases opportunities and diminishes the challenges faced by an organization that operates in multiple nations. The six lenses are Time Orientation, Communication, Cultural themes, Group dynamics, Process engineering and Glocalization. The communication lens, available here, discusses the verbal and non-verbal differences that impact our ability to understand and be understood relative to our written and verbal business communication. The focus is on global stakeholders who speak English as a non-native language as well as using an interpreter to communicate to foreign speakers. The module will help you identify the differences and give you skills and tools to bridge the gap in your communication with all global stakeholders.
